CODE OF CONDUCT
I adhere to the highest standards of hygiene by using a clean sponge for each client and changing my water regularly. I also take great pride in cleaning my kit before and after every event. Only high quality professional products are used which are hypo-allergenic and apply with FDA/EU cosmetic regulations.
Face paints are not recommended for under 3 years old, but if your child wishes to be painted a small design can be done at artists discretion.
The artist is not liable for any allergic reactions, if yourself or your child has sensitive skin or is allergic to other common products please speak with the artist who is able to offer a patch test.
The artist has the right to paint yourself or your child if suffering from any of the following conditions; cuts or open wounds, conjunctivitis, cold sores, chicken pox, eczema, impetigo or any other contagious illness.
Children under 13 should be accompanied by an adult and should not be left unattended whilst waiting.
Artist will not paint anyone who doesn't wish to be painted (a small design on hand or arm can be offered) or is sleeping, also abusive behaviour and rudeness will not be tolerated.
Please make sure that your child has finished eating and drinking and that there face is clean and dry before being seated to be painted.
Face paint should be removed by using a mild liquid soap on the painted area, without adding water, then wiping with a damp cloth. Baby wipes and make-up wipes should NEVER be used. For any pigment that may remain use moisturising lotion or oil and remove after 10-15 minutes.
If at a private party, the party organiser/host is deemed responsible for informing the parents that a face painter etc. is available and are responsible for informing the artist of any child not to be painted.
Making Smiles sometimes likes to take photographs for promotional use on flyers and website etc., but this will never be done without consent of the person/parents/guardians. You are under no obligation to give consent, but if consent if given you will need to sign a consent form.
